SEMrush is a great tool for helping you come up with long tail keywords to target, which can result in more organic traffic to your website. Some of the other benefits and features of SEMrush include:

Keyword research directly impacts your search engine rankings. So the higher your SERP rankings, the more organic traffic you’ll get from search. With their extensive database of over two million keywords, you’re bound to find the perfect keyword for you and your business. You can create up to 50 keyword lists, which comes in handy if you manage multiple clients or products. Just login to SEMrush and click on the ” keyword magic tool” in the left menu. Type in a keyword and let the tool do its work. Within less than 60 seconds, you can get instant results of useful data such as;

  • Keywords are categorised by number and volume
  • a trend graph to show how popular they are. 
  • Suggestions for long-tail keywords to pursue are given
  • the average monthly search volume
  • Cost-per-click
  •  keyword difficulty. 
  • SERP features found for the keyword are also listed, 
  • Adwords auction competition 
  • a table of commonly used words associated with the keyword.

If you keep submitting different keywords, you’ll eventually encounter the problem of too many choices. In this case, you can choose the keywords you want and submit them to the next tool for analysis. The next tool is the keyword analyzer.

Keyword analyzer

The Keyword Analyzer tool is the perfect way to get an in-depth look at your choice of up to 1,000 words. This can help you segment a keyword for analysis, export them to a spreadsheet, or send them to another SEMrush tool. I would not link to a page that has no value for my audience. I would rather direct them to high-quality, valuable content.

With it, you can review the backlinks to any website, see which pages are being linked, where the links are coming from, and how the backlink profile changes over time.

Link Building Workflow

  • If you want to find out who is linking to your competitor’s sites but not yours, you can do a backlink gap analysis.
  • You can also analyse the data on a competitor’s backlinks with our Backlink Analytics reports. 
  • If you want to build new links to your site, you can set up an outreach campaign in the Link Building Tool. You can email prospects directly from SEMrush to try to get them to link to your site.
